Somebody's Sure To Notice This...
Tue Jun 28,10:42 AM ET
My Note: Pay close attention to what is said (and not said) in the following article.  This is IMHO a clear case od corporate money laundering.

A Taiwan stock trader mistakenly bought T$7.9 billion ($251 million) worth of shares with a mis-stroke of her computer, meaning her company is looking at a paper loss of more than $12 million and she is looking for a new job.

So this person makes a one keystroke difference and it costs her well, her job.  No warning, no nothing, just get out!

The trader with Fubon Securities mis-keyed in a small order from Merrill Lynch Monday, creating confusion when many small firms inexplicably surged the 7 percent trading limit.
Whoops!  That is a big mistake!

"Something like this is difficult to explain to superiors," a Fubon executive said Tuesday.

Sure is when you really see why...

Fubon said that the trader was unfamiliar with new computer systems and would be fired.

So they fire someone who quote "was unfamilar with the new computer systems", in other words the superior here did not have her properly TRAINED on the same computer system and thus created a "fall guy".  How do you fire someone who wasn't trained and why was she on that seme computer system in the first place?

"There is a paper loss of more than T$400 million," said the executive.
Now we know the amount laundered...

"However, with a good outlook for stocks in the second half, there are no plans to sell the shares in the near term."

It seems that this one misplaced keystroke by an untrained employee is actually no "loosing" the company money, but will in fact see gains.  So much so, that this same company is going to hold onto this stock that got with a "misplaced" keystroke because it will see big returns...

Our poor herione on the other hand will land a really great job at another company that her old one did business with and both companies will see mutual gains...
